We moved up to the the Lake Dis­trict upon buy­ing a pre­vi­ous­ly ren­o­vat­ed farm­house. After we encoun­tered a web of issues with­in the first six months, we decid­ed to do some ren­o­va­tions and set out to find a suit­able build­ing contractor.

Roger offered good advice at an ear­ly stage that we took on board and decid­ed we want­ed to work with him and his team.

He nav­i­gat­ed the project pro­fes­sion­al­ly and some­how man­aged the work around our fam­i­ly liv­ing ​‘in house’ 

We’re real­ly hap­py with the end prod­uct, the tweaks we made a long the project have made a last­ing impact.

Farmhouse kitchen

I bought a house in 2023, and the sell­er explained that the down­stairs room hadn’t been fin­ished due to a lack of time. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, it lat­er became clear that there was a seri­ous damp issue caused by the driveway.

I con­tact­ed three builders before find­ing Roger. The oth­ers gave unre­al­is­tic prices and offered no real clar­i­ty about the root of the prob­lem. Roger, on the oth­er hand, was very thor­ough — he clear­ly explained the issues, pro­posed sen­si­ble solu­tions, and pro­vid­ed trans­par­ent pricing.

We booked him in, and Roger and his team did a superb job. They worked effi­cient­ly, cleaned up after them­selves every day, and com­plet­ed the work to a very high standard.

We got Roger involved to redesign and re-build the inte­ri­or lay­out of our out-dat­ed hol­i­day let in Gras­mere. We were not disappointed!

From start to fin­ish the whole team were excep­tion­al. Liv­ing over­seas added a lev­el of com­plex­i­ty to the project, how­ev­er we were ful­ly informed at key stages. Our options were clear­ly defined which made the remote deci­sion mak­ing a lot easier.

The atten­tion to detail and qual­i­ty of fin­ish have allowed us to cap­ture some great pho­tog­ra­phy to sell our hol­i­day home. Our occu­pan­cy rates have improved dramatically.
